RESUMO

(1) Background: The role of the nurse case manager is unknown to the population. The main objective is to analyze the existing differences within the national territory in order to make known the situation in Spain with a view to the recognition of its functions and the creation of the professional profile in an equal manner. (2) Methods: A scoping review was conducted in order to achieve the main aim. Selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, and the levels of evidence and grades of recommendation of the Joanna Briggs Institute were verified. The search field was limited to the last ten years. (3) Results: Case management models are heterogeneous in different autonomous communities in Spain. Case nurse management is qualified for high-complexity patients, follow up on chronic patients, and coordinate health assistance. (4) Conclusions: It concludes that nursing's role is crucial in the field of case management, being required in the follow-up of chronic patients of high complexity. Despite the proven health benefits, efficacy, and efficiency of case management, there are many heterogeneous models that coexist in Spain. This involves a restriction in the development of a nursing career because of the lack of a definition of its functions and competences.

Visible nursing work is usually associated with formal work and physician-delegated tasks which are protocolised and usually well documented. Nevertheless, nurses carry out many actions and display specific attitudes and behaviours which, despite contributing to the well-being, recovery of patients and satisfaction with the attention received, are not as visible. Previous studies have been conducted in order to define 'invisible nursing interventions', but no quantitative instruments focused on measuring invisible nursing interventions have been found in the literature. PURPOSE: To test the psychometric properties of the Perception of Invisible Nursing Care-Hospitalisation (PINC-H) questionnaire. METHODS: Cross-sectional survey design. A self-administered questionnaire was completed by 381 participants recruited consecutively after discharge from a Spanish hospital. Data were collected from 2012 to 2020. RESULTS: Three factors were identified from exploratory factor analysis, namely 'Caring for the person', 'Caring for the environment and the family' and 'Caring presence'. Criterion Validity Coefficient was highly significant (p < 0.001) with values ranging between 0.63 and 0.71. Cronbach's alpha was 0.96. Test-retest reliability was estimated in a subsample of 187 participants; in all the items, correlation coefficients were highly significant (p < 0.001) and within range (0.532-0.811) with a mean value of 0.680. Also, correlations between each dimension and the complete questionnaire indicated good temporal stability between measurements. CONCLUSIONS: The instrument had satisfactory validity and reliability. PINC-H can contribute to highlight nursing interventions and behaviours which are often unseen and, thus, less valued. We argue that PINC-H will also be useful to evaluate the quality of invisible nursing care to oncology inpatients.

Introducción: La enfermedad de Alzheimer es una demencia que afecta a un número cada vez mayor de personas. Estos pacientes precisan de una atención continua, prestada habitualmente por sus familiares. El cuidador informal es la persona encargada de realizar el cuidado no profesional de los pacientes dependientes, lo que puede conllevar en ellos repercusiones físicas, sociales y psíquicas, susceptibles de intervención profesional. El objetivo es analizar las necesidades más demandadas por familiares de pacientes de Alzheimer, estudiar los recursos sociosanitarios ofertados y concretar las competencias enfermeras en el abordaje del paciente y su familia. Material y métodos: Revisión bibliográfica en Cuiden, Elsevier, Dialnet, SciELO y Google Academic, de aquellos trabajos que analizan las necesidades, recursos sociosanitarios y competencias de enfermería sobre la enfermedad de Alzheimer. En total se analizaron 40 artículos. Resultados: Las necesidades más demandadas por los cuidadores son las de información, formación, ayuda física, atención al duelo y apoyo social. Los recursos sociosanitarios disponibles para facilitar la atención de estos son la atención a domicilio y diurna de no internamiento entre otros. Los cuidadores perciben que no se utilizan todos los recursos sociosanitarios disponibles. Los enfermeros aportan apoyo y cuidado, y destacan sobre todo las intervenciones de tipo psicoeducativo. Conclusión: Las necesidades de los cuidadores abarcan las dimensiones física, psíquica y social. Los recursos sociosanitarios a disposición de los cuidadores se encuentran infrautilizados y las intervenciones enfermeras más valoradas son las estrategias de educación sanitaria. Es preciso seguir investigando para ampliar los conocimientos que permitan ofrecer cuidados de calidad


Introduction: Alzheimer disease is a dementia which affects an increasing number of people. Those patients require continued assistance which is usually given by their relatives. The informal carer is the person in charge of the non-professional care of the dependent patients. This can imply physical, social and psychic repercussions, susceptible to professional intervention. The goal is analysing the most demanding necessities by the relatives of Alzheimer’s patients, studying the offered socio-health resources and concreting the nursing competencies in the approach of the patient and his family. Material and methods: Bibliographic revision in Cuiden, Elsevier, Dialnet, SciELO and Google Academic, of those works which analyse the necessities, sociohealth resources and nursing competences about Alzheimer disease. Overall forty articles were analysed. Results: The most demanding necessities by the cares are related with the information, formation, physical help, grief attention and social support. The available socio-health resources to ease their attention are for instance, the home care and the daytime and non-hospitalized attention. The cares observe that the available socio-health resources are not completely used. The nurses give support and care, especially in the psychoeducational interventions. Conclusion: The necessities of the cares cover physical, psychic and social dimensions. Their available socio-health resources are untapped and the most valued nursing interventions are the health education strategies. It is necessary to carry out more research in order to broaden the knowledge which allows us to provide good quality cares

Objetivo principal: Elaborar y validar un cuestionario para medir el aprendizaje de los cuidados enfermeros durante las prácticas en el grado de enfermería. Metodología: Elaboración de la escala inicial de 45 ítems, pilotaje de la herramienta con alumnado de la Universidad de Zaragoza y Universidad del País Vasco, mediante análisis de la fiabilidad y de estructura. Posterior consulta a expertos para validación de contenido. Resultados principales: El resultado del pilotaje reportó que el global de la herramienta presentaba buena fiabilidad (alfa=0,888), con una estructura unidimensional que explica el 66% de la varianza. El grupo de expertos confirmó la estructura unidimensional de la escala, y propuso la eliminación de 17 ítems por considerarlos redundantes. Conclusión principal: La herramienta presentada resulta útil para la evaluación del aprendizaje del alumnado. Resultaría necesario ampliar el estudio con muestras de otras universidades, e incluir herramientas que aporten validez convergente o divergente


Objective: Development and validation of a questionnaire to measure the learning of nursing care during Nurse Degree clinical practices. Methods: Elaboration of a 45-item initial scale, pilot study with students from University of Zaragoza and University of Pais Vasco, through reliability and structural analysis. Content validation through experts consulting. Results: Pilot-study result a good reliability (alpha=0,888) in the global tool, with a unidimensional structure accounting for variance 66%. The expert panel confirmed that unidimensional structure for the scale, and considered 17 items redundant, proposing its elimination. Conclusions: Presented tool is useful for students learning assessment. It would be necessary to Include samples from other universities and tools that provide convergent and divergent validity in further studies

RESUMO

Dentro de las terapias complementarias, la utilización de la risoterapia aporta beneficios tanto en la salud como en las situaciones de enfermedad, siendo un "instrumento de cuidados" barato y sin efectos secundarios. La tendencia actual hacia todo lo natural, las corrientes sobre cuidados de salud de las distintas culturas, unidas a las recomendaciones de la OMS a los enfermeros sobre la necesidad de utilizar los "métodos tradicionales y complementarios" para conseguir mejorar la salud de la población, hacen que la risoterapia sea una alternativa como instrumento opcional de cuidados. Planteamos una revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo de conocer la aplicación de la risoterapia en la salud y más concretamente en los cuidados enfermeros.Del análisis de los resultados podemos concretar que la risa se trabaja en diferentes ámbitos profesionales, no sólo en el sanitario. Es en el campo de la comunicación donde más se divulga esta terapia. Hemos encontrado pocas publicaciones de enfermería, pero muy valiosas ya que trabajan en el terreno de la investigación y de la docencia. Sería interesante que los profesionales de enfermería utilizaran esta terapia que mejora la calidad de los cuidados y ofrece un campo independiente propicio para la investigación


Related to complementary therapies, humour and laugh contribute to enhance health status and diminish illness situations. Humour as a therapy is an inexpensive tool in the patient care and it has not secondary effects in most cases. Current tendencies, either about natural ways to health or believes on health care of popular cultures, and who recommendations to patients in the use of traditional and complementary methods to improve population health, make humour and laugh an alternative therapy as an optional care tool. We have reviewed the literature with the aim of recognize the application of humour therapy on health and more specifically on nurse cares.On the basis of the review we can state that humour is utilized and applied in several professional environments, apart from the health one. This therapy is widely spread in the communication area. We have found few publications on nurse literature although they are high valuable since they work in the fields of research and education. It would be interesting that nurse professionals use this complementary therapy that enhance the quality of cares and offers an independent field favourable for research

RESUMO

La utilización sistemática de un informe de valoración al alta de enfermería nos proporciona ventajas desde distintos puntos de vista profesional: de la gestión de cuidados, docente, de investigación y desde la legalidad. Objetivo: En nuestro trabajo analizamos las publicaciones existentes sobre el informe de valoración al alta de enfermería (IVAE), siendo éste el resumen de la historia de enfermería. Material y método: Realizamos un estudio descriptivo cuantitativo, sobre la revisión bibliográfica acerca del IVAE, en 32 artículos publicados en revistas de enfermería en el contexto español. Resultados: La mayoría valora las ventajas de su utilización, destacando que mejora la continuidad de cuidados, facilita la coordinación y comunicación entre profesionales y refleja el trabajo de enfermería. Entre las desventajas o problemas de su utilización se encuentran la necesidad de tener unos conocimientos previos y motivación. Para su elaboración consideran requisito importante la adopción de un modelo de enfermería. Entre los elementos que componen el informe de alta no hay unanimidad de criterios. Conclusiones: Su utilización ofrece bastantes ventajas profesionales (AU)
